Andrew Shepherd is the Managing Director of Innovation and Growth, a role he has held since July 2024.

With over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Andrew is a leader in driving innovation and sustainability in modern building practices.

Prior to joining Ibstock, he served as Managing Director at TopHat for four years, where he focused on delivering low-carbon modular housing solutions.

He also spent six years as CEO of Mid Group, earning accolades such as Contractor of the Year, and six years as a Director at Laing O’Rourke, where he led major infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally.

A graduate of Loughborough University with a BSc (Hons) in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying, Andrew is also a guest lecturer at the University of Cambridge. Passionate about sustainable infrastructure, he is committed to creating innovative products and solutions that enable the construction of more sustainable homes, schools, and hospitals.
