Chris Murray is the Managing Director of Clay and Concrete, a position he has held since November 2023.

With nearly three decades of experience in manufacturing PLCs across a variety of sectors, Chris brings a wealth of expertise to his role. Before joining Ibstock, he spent almost seven years as the Packaging Division Managing Director at DS Smith Plc.

Chris's career also boasts a 20-year tenure at Rio Tinto, where he ascended to the role of Chief Operating Officer at Sohar Aluminium Company. Chris holds an MBA from Newcastle Business School, an MSc in Materials Handling Technology, and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University. Renowned for his strategic vision and innovative approach, Chris is dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity at Ibstock, focusing on creating safe and reliable production processes, delivering outstanding customer experiences, and driving the company's growth.
